Foster Swift Elects EC Officers for 2024

LANSING, Mich. —The law firm of Foster Swift Collins & Smith, PC has elected officers to serve on its executive committee for 2024:

  • Anne M. Seurynck - President
  • Michael R. Blum – Vice President, Southfield
  • Douglas A. Mielock – Vice President, Lansing
  • Andrew C. Vredenburg – Vice President, Grand Rapids
  • Anna K. Gibson – Secretary
  • Nicholas M. Oertel – Treasurer

Seurynck will continue to serve as the firm’s president and head of the executive committee. She is currently in her second three-year term as the first woman president elected in the firm’s history. Seurynck practices municipal and public entity law, library law, and school law services.

Blum will continue to serve as vice president of the firm’s Southfield office. Blum represents both private and public employers in employment litigation and alternative dispute resolution.

Mielock was re-elected to serve as vice president of the Lansing office. Mielock represents and counsels clients in the following areas: estate planning, estate litigation, estate administration and marital agreements.

Vredenburg will continue to serve as vice president of the firm’s Grand Rapids office. Vredenburg focuses on helping small to medium-sized businesses seize opportunities. He routinely handles matters involving business disputes, real estate and environmental matters, construction litigation and development and corporate counsel.

Gibson was elected as the firm’s secretary. Anna’s practice focuses on helping families achieve their unique estate planning goals by exceling in counseling on both simple and complex situations. Anna is passionate about mentoring young attorneys.

Oertel was newly elected to serve as the firm’s treasurer. He concentrates his practice in providing outside general counsel service to a wide variety of businesses, including family-owned businesses, start-up companies, and health systems.
