FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—August 12, 2024

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — Foster Swift litigator, Dora A. Brantley, is one of the honorees in the 2024 Class of "Influential Women of Law" by Michigan Lawyers Weekly.

This program honors women attorneys and judges for their excellent work on behalf of the justice system and for their clients, their commitment to their communities and their service to the profession. These honorees are inspiring and accomplished leaders, serve as mentors to others, and contribute significant time and effort to volunteerism and/or pro bono initiatives.

A recognition awards luncheon will honor the Class of 2024 on Friday, September 27 at Petruzzello’s in Troy. Profiles of the honorees will appear in a special section in the September 23 issue of Michigan Lawyers Weekly.

Dora is often engaged by employers to investigate and provide direction regarding claims of discrimination and harassment, as well as insurance carriers to resolve coverage disputes. She serves as one of only a few Michigan panel counsel for a leading conglomerate of insurance companies. She has the honor of being the only attorney who has been selected by two Fortune 500 fast food corporations to defend claims and litigation involving a variety of issues in Michigan, including tort liability and alleged civil rights violations.

Dora is also active in her community. She previously served on the Board of Directors for Ronald McDonald House Charities in Detroit and on the Board of Directors of LIFT Women’s Resource Center (Detroit), an organization established to assist women struggling with various social issues, including domestic violence and substance abuse.
