Lansing, Mich. – Foster Swift Collins and Smith PC is pleased to announce the addition of Attorney John Mashni to its Lansing office. He joined Foster Swift in 2012 as a summer associate and now returns as part of the Business and Corporate Practice Group after an accomplished professional career prior to attending Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
Mashni brings a unique perspective to the firm with his practical experience as an entrepreneur, business owner and manager. Prior to earning his law degree, he worked as media department manager for a large leadership development company. Mashni supervised and coordinated audio, video, web and print projects for tens of thousands of customers.
His legal insight paired with his understanding of entrepreneurship provides him with invaluable insight to assist clients.
Graduating from Michigan State University summa cum laude with a degree in English, he also received a Film Studies Specialization. Mashni offers the firm various experiences including numerous internships and research assistantships.

Mashni is focused on serving his community and devotes any free time to his role on the Board of Directors for Soundsgood Ministries, a non-profit organization using multimedia and concerts to reach youth across the nation and then equipping those individuals to develop their own communities.
