Lansing, Mich. Foster Swift has added three videos to our collection of Legal Basics Videos. Foster Swift business attorneys realize entrepreneurs and business owners have lots of legal questions so we've developed a library of short videos to provide basic legal information on some of the more frequently asked questions.

Based on client requests, the newly released three videos include:

  • Classifying a Worker: Employee or Independent Contractor?
  • Record Retention Policies: Advice for Small Businesses
  • Do it Yourself: Michigan Small Claims Court

Delivered by two of our attorneys, Deanna Swisher and Michael Zahrt, the videos range from about 3 1/2 minutes to 7 minutes and give a general overview of the importance of each topic. They also provide examples to make the topics more relatable. The videos provide general information, not legal advice. They are intended to help prepare people to seek legal counsel.

To access the videos visit our website, under publications: Legal Basics Videos or under News & Events: Legal Basics Videos. You may also view them on our YouTube channel: FosterSwift.
