Ida Farhat, ACP, receives State Bar of Michigan, Paralegal Section's 2014 Paralegal Shining Star Award, February 17, 2014

Lansing, Mich. – Ida Farhat, ACP, an Advanced Certified Paralegal for Foster Swift Collins & Smith PC's Lansing office, is the recipient of the February 2014 Shining Star Award by the State Bar of Michigan's Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section. Part of Foster Swift's Business & Corporate Practice Group, Farhat's skill, experience, and network of resources makes her a highly-valued member of Foster Swift's team.

Over the years, Farhat has served in many leadership positions within the State Bar of Michigan Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section. She is currently serving on the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) Certifying Board and has been a member of this Board since 2009. As a co-founder and one of its charter members, Farhat was instrumental in the formation of the new Michigan NALA-affiliated association "Great Lakes Paralegal Association" (GLPA).

Shining Star Awards from the State Bar of Michigan's Paralegal Section recognize paralegals and legal assistants who go above and beyond the call. Shining Star recipients have been nominated on the basis of outstanding charitable or community service works.
