FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. — Attorney Frank T. Mamat, a shareholder at Foster Swift, has been appointed to serve on the Building Industry Association of Southeastern Michigan (BIA) board of directors for 2011. Mamat has represented the association since 1995.
The BIA is a non-profit advocate for the building industry of southeastern Michigan. They help their members provide high-quality homes while following all the necessary industry standards.
Mamat is one of the nation’s preeminent labor law attorneys. He focuses his practice on complex labor issues, with a special focus on union matters, contract negotiations and unfair labor practice litigation. He was appointed to the Michigan Construction Code Commission by Governor Engler in 1993 and served on the CCC longer that anyone in State history, and as its Chairman. Mamat represents several thousand construction industry employers all across the United States and Canada.
