Frederick, TerMaat and Van Regenmorter Elected Shareholders

Lansing, Mich. - Foster Swift Collins and Smith, PC is pleased to announce the election of three new shareholders: attorneys Samuel Frederick, Thomas TerMaat and Jennifer Van Regenmorter.

Attorney Sam Frederick is currently a member of the firm's Business and Corporate Practice Group and leads the firms Information Technology practice and works in the firm's Lansing office.  He focuses his law practice in the areas of intellectual property protection strategies and information technology, specifically in trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights and software licensing.  Sam is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, the ABA’s China Advisory Committee and the National Association of Seed and Venture Funds.  Frederick received an undergraduate B.S. in Business from the University of Montana, graduating cum laude, and completed his law degree at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, graduating cum laude.

Attorney Thomas TerMaat practices in firm's Grand Rapids office in the areas of commercial litigation, real estate litigation, general civil litigation, insurance defense, transportation and trucking law, and premises liability.  Tom is recognized as one of the leading experts in Michigan No-Fault Automobile Insurance Law.  He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Grand Rapids Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan Representative Assembly and is a Certified Case Evaluator for Kent County.  TerMaat completed undergraduate at Hope College, graduating cum laude and completed law school at Indiana University's School of Law.

Working in both the Holland and Grand Rapids offices, attorney Jennifer Van Regenmorter is currently a member of the firm's Health Care practice group, specializing in health law.  Van Regenmorter is a member of the Board of Directors of the Michigan Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the Holland Area Chamber of Commerce.  She also practices in the General Business practice area, assisting new businesses in their operation.  Jennifer is also a member of the State Bar of Michigan, American Health Lawyers' association and is a fellow of the Michigan State Bar Foundation.  Van Regenmorter completed undergraduate at Calvin College and received her law degree from Loyola University College of Law.
