FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. — Foster Swift Collins & Smith, PC is pleased to announce the addition of attorney April L. Neihsl. She concentrates her practice in areas of insurance defense, insurance coverage, general liability defense, commercial litigation, and equine law.
Neihsl was listed as a "Rising Star" in the September 2010 edition of the Michigan Super Lawyers® published by Law & Politics magazine. Additionally, she has contributed to several published articles as well as a book on litigation published in 2009 by the American Bar Association. In 2010 she was one of the youngest lawyers to be selected as a speaker at the National Conference on Equine Law. She has been a member of the State Bar of Michigan Representative Assembly since 2008.
Neihsl attended Wayne State University Law School, graduating cum laude in 2006. She served as assistant editor of the Wayne Law Review from 2004-2005, senior articles editor from 2005-2006, and earned the Silver Key Certificate.
Before joining the firm, Neihsl held internships in the Wayne County Circuit Court and U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. She is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan, and Oakland County Bar Association.
