Bankruptcy attorney Scott Chernich is one of the presenters for the SBRA Deep Dive discussion at the 33rd Annual Bankruptcy Section Seminar for the Federal Bar Association of the Western District of Michigan.

Now that we have over one year of SBRA (Small Business Reorganization Act) experience, this panel will explore how SBRA cases are actually working in both Michigan districts. What does it mean to be "engaged in commercial or business activities?" Does the debtor satisfy other eligibility requirements? Are plans being confirmed on a consensual basis, or through cramdown? What is the role of the Sub V trustee in these cases? How are professional fees, including trustee fees, being addressed? What confirmation issues are particular to SBRA?
