Foster Swift Elects Four Shareholders for 2025

LANSING, Mich. –The shareholders of Foster Swift Collins & Smith, P.C. elected four of its attorneys to shareholders as the firm enters 2025: Bryan Cermak, Amanda J. Dernovshek, Kevin J. Roragen and Brandon M.H. Schumacher.

Cermak practices in the firm’s Southfield office as a trial lawyer and is a former General Counsel for an international, publicly traded company. He litigates business disputes and other commercial and complex cases, and he serves his corporate clients as a comprehensive legal, risk management and business advisor.  Cermak joined the firm in April 2023 as a then lateral hire. Cermak also hosts a video series titled “Life, Law & Lessons”.

Dernovshek is an employee benefits attorney in the firm’s Business and Tax practice group. Based in Lansing, her practice focuses on issues related to employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), non-qualified deferred compensation plans, qualified retirement plans, and general business planning. She also assists the Firm’s mergers and acquisitions team.

Roragen is a litigator in Foster Swift’s Lansing office and has represented numerous public and private clients in varied litigation matters, primarily in the areas of employment defense, constitutional law, municipal and governmental liability issues, zoning and municipal land use regulation, construction disputes, general commercial and business litigation, as well as tax and other real estate litigation matters.

Schumacher is a one-stop-shop litigator who represents individuals, companies, financial institutions, and municipalities. Schumacher’s legal practice is diverse. Most of his work falls within the following areas: Business and Commercial Litigation, Construction Litigation, Administrative and Insurance Regulation and Compliance.
