Lansing, Mich. —Foster Swift welcomes two attorneys to its general litigation practice group. Senior attorney Alexander S. Rusek will be based in the firm’s Lansing office while associate Toi J. Thomas joins the firm’s Southfield office. Both are lateral hires, having previously been in private practice.
Alex’s practice focuses on complex mass action and class action civil litigation, business law & litigation, criminal law, and appellate law. He has represented established businesses, new businesses, non-profits, professionals, and individuals involved in multi-party, mass action, and class action litigation, including representing hundreds of survivors of sexual abuse in numerous high-profile cases.
Toi focuses her practice in Family Law, Estate Planning, Criminal Law and Entertainment Law including:
- Drafting and filing motions to stay evictions in Landlord-Tenants disputes
- Drafting and executing Wills, Trusts, and Power of Attorney documents
- Appearing and advocating on behalf of clients regarding custody, parenting time and child support disputes
Alex is a graduate of the Michigan State University College of Law while Toi earned her Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
