Webinar: What Employers Need to Know about Marijuana in the Workplace

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –Foster Swift attorney Laura Genovich is presenting a free webinar entitled Marijuana in Michigan Workplaces: What Public and Private Employers Need to Know. Laura is a shareholder in the firm’s Grand Rapids office, where she practices municipal and commercial law.

On November 6, 2018, Michigan voters approved Proposal 1; the Marihuana Legalization Initiative. The webinar will address a number of key questions that employers around the state have asked in the wake of Proposal 1 such as:

• What does legal marijuana mean for Michigan’s workplaces?
• Can employers still enforce drug policies?
• Can businesses prohibit customers from using marijuana?
• What are the rules for public employers?
